COO & Chief Strategist
In the past 25 years I’ve started a Ben & Jerry’s franchise Scoop Shop, a Homewatch Caregivers franchise, and served as Executive Director of the University of Arkansas Information Technology Research Institute.
I was employee #4 at the influencer marketing agency Collective Bias. At CB I wore many hats, eventually serving as VP of Strategy where I designed 360 degree digital influencer campaigns for consumer package goods vendors selling products at Walmart, Walgreens, Target and others.
My clients have spanned healthcare, transportation & logistics, information technology, CPG, ecommerce, and professional services. I’ve worked with Fortune 50 brands and sole proprietor entrepreneurs, small & medium businesses, business to business companies and business to consumer retailers.
Here at Modthink I’m pulling from these experiences to set the digital strategies for our clients. I’ll help find your audience and build communities around your brand and business.
CEO & Chief Thought Officer
I was an architect when technology overtook the profession and in 1996 I switched to technology. My first startup was Denver IT firm Mission Critical Systems (purchased by All Covered). I traded in my shares of MCS to become a senior consultant at Baker Robbins & Company (now HRB Consulting) in San Francisco. In both, I designed and managed digital systems for AmLaw 50 law firms.
I moonlit evaluating startups’ technologies for Silicone Valley VC’s. After graduate school I launched Springline Consulting Group. Brad hired me to write his Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Shop business plan and convinced me to be his partner.
My digital background and retail experience lead to digital marketing. First at Rockfish Interactive and later as employee #7 at Collective Bias where I worked with Brad designing digital and social media marketing campaigns.
With Modthink, I’ve gotten back to my entrepreneurial roots by building digital marketing platforms, websites, and social media channels for SMBs.
